Virtually any piece of memorabilia, useful or otherwise, is being sold on-line through McDougall Auctions. The auction closes later in July. Any profit is being used to offset demolition costs of the historic stadium. While Saskatchewan Roughrider fans may be interested in the CFL team's offices and locker room — something like Darian Durant's stall or dozens of team logos — I started looking for familiar things from a media point of view: the pressbox heater, the conference table where we used to visit with head coach Jim Daley, the chalkboard that John Gregory would use to diagram plays — and sometimes throw chalk when he didn't like the question.
The goalposts. The scoreboard. Maybe the bench where my grandfather and the other City of Regina employees would stop to eat their lunch. I really want the mid-field door that so many Hall of Famers walked through to get onto the field, but it's already more than five bucks.
