As much as the Saskatchewan Roughriders covet him, James Franklin may never become their starting quarterback.
Franklin's current team, the Edmonton Eskimos, are trying to re-sign the promising pivot. TSN's Gary Lawless reported that the parties are negotiating, but that became obvious last week when Franklin got in touch with former Eskimos quarterback Warren Moon.
